Market Access

Market Access & Authorisation Support

Entering a new market comes with regulatory hurdles - registrations, notifications, submissions and approvals. We clear them, so your products reach customers faster.

From Product to Market, Without the Delays

Before many products can be sold in the UK or EU they must be registered, notified or authorised: cosmetic notifications (SCPN in the UK, CPNP in the EU), food supplement notifications, novel food applications, and category-specific registrations across other regulated sectors.

Each submission has its own portal, evidence requirements and review timelines - and errors mean rejections and resubmission delays that stall launches. For businesses managing this in-house for the first time, the learning curve is expensive.

Conformity Services manages the full authorisation pathway: we identify which registrations your product needs, compile the supporting evidence, make the submissions, and handle follow-up questions from the authorities. Where a product needs formulation or documentation changes to qualify, we tell you early - before you've committed stock.

The outcome is a faster, predictable route to market: you know what's required, what it costs, and when you can start selling.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which products need registering before sale in the UK?

Cosmetics must be notified via the Submit Cosmetic Product Notifications (SCPN) service before being placed on the GB market. Food supplements, novel foods, and several other categories carry their own notification or authorisation requirements. We map exactly what applies to your product.

What is CPNP notification?

The Cosmetic Products Notification Portal is the EU's mandatory pre-market notification system for cosmetics. Every cosmetic product must be notified through CPNP by the Responsible Person before it is placed on the EU market. We handle submissions as part of our RP service.

How long does market authorisation take?

Simple notifications can be completed in days once documentation is ready. Authorisations that require assessment - novel foods, for example - run to months or longer. We give you realistic timelines up front so you can plan launches properly.

Can you help if my submission was rejected?

Yes. We diagnose why the submission failed, fix the documentation or formulation issues behind it, and resubmit.

Do you handle multiple markets at once?

Yes - UK and EU submissions are typically run in parallel so both markets open at the same time.
